Mobius: Advanced Vectra/VorTech BLE Connection Troubleshooting
Overview
In the unusual event you experience a BLE disconnected or offline error in Mobius, please ensure you are within BLE range of your aquarium and follow the steps below to troubleshoot. Additional device-specific advanced steps are provided below should the issue persist after following the basic troubleshooting.
Basic Troubleshooting Steps:
- Quit the Mobius app
- Power cycle all Mobius controlled devices (disconnect from power for 30 seconds)
- Open the Mobius app and select your desired tank
iOS Devices:
- Quit the Mobius app
- Open the "Settings & Privacy" on your phone settings
- Ensure "Location Services" is enabled
- Now select "Bluetooth" while still in the 'Settings & Privacy"
- Select "Mobius" and "On"
- Open the Mobius app and select your desired tank
Android Devices:
- Quit the Mobius app
- Open the "Settings" app
- Select "Location Services" then "On"
- Now select "Connection" while still in "Settings"
- Select "Location Settings" then ensure "Mobius" is "Enabled"
- Open the Mobius app and select your desired tank
Should your Vectra/VorTech still show disconnected, it will require a reset. Please note you would lose your settings by proceeding with the steps below.
- In the Mobius app, select "Select Tank" then swipe left over the tank you would like to delete.
- On the Controller, press, and hold the Mode & Set button until the dial begins flashing red/white/blue
- Press, and hold the Mode button until the dial begins flashing red/purple
- Press, and hold the Set button until the controller resets and is solid green
- Open the Mobius app and select the "+" button to locate your VorTech/Vectra
