Mobius: Basic BLE Connection Troubleshooting for VorTech pump and Vectras
Overview
Should you receive a "Can't Connect" error, you are likely exceeding the range of your Bluetooth-enabled devices or attempting to connect to the incorrect tank.
Steps:
To troubleshoot, start by power cycling all Mobius-controlled devices and quit the Mobius app. While the devices are off, we recommend toggling your phones Bluetooth settings on and off as this can help refresh the connection. Wait 30 seconds and power on all devices then, re-open the Mobius app. All devices should be back online at this time. Ensure the following settings are enabled.
iOS Devices:
- Open the "Settings" app then select "Privacy"
- Enable "Location Services" (should be set to "On")
- Now select the "Bluetooth" option
- Ensure "Mobius" is switched "On"
Android Devices:
- Go to Settings, enable Bluetooth (BLE)
- Go to Apps, or Apps and Notifications, then find the myAI/Mobius app
- Make sure that Location services are enabled
In the unlikely event, your VorTech/Vectra is still disconnected, it will require a Controller reset. To do so, follow the steps below. (Only follow step 1 if you already have a unit connected to Mobius) Please note you will lose your current settings by proceeding with the following steps.
1. In the Mobius app, swipe to delete this VorTech/Vectra from your device list, (swipe left on tank name if this is your only device added)
2. On the Controller, press, and hold the Mode & Set button until the dial begins flashing red/white/blue
3. Press, and hold the Mode button until the dial begins flashing red/purple
4. Press, and hold the Set button until the controller resets and is solid green
5. Open the Mobius app and select the "+" button or choose an existing tank and follow the on-screen prompts
