As a current ESL user, you may have heard of our new wireless control platform Mobius.  Mobius takes away the need for a Reeflnk and opens a new level of functionality for your EcoTech devices.  Before making the switch to Mobius, you may have several outstanding questions.  This article is designed to answer any questions you may have and provide a comprehensive overview of what is needed before making the switch.

Is my device compatible?

The first question you will need to answer is device compatibility.  Keep in mind, the majority of devices controlled via ESL are compatible, a complete compatibility guide is available here

My device is "Upgradeable" how do I replace the RF Module?

ESL devices listed as "upgradeable" will need their RF Module replaced with a Mobius compatible type.  Device-specific RF Module replacement video tutorials can be found here

My devices are now Mobius compatible, how do I download the Mobius app?

Mobius is app-based and is compatible with iOS and Android devices.  For instructions on downloading the Mobius app, visit our video tutorial here

Do I need to perform a firmware update on my device?

Once the Mobius app is installed, your devices will require firmware updates via the app.  You will find a video tutorial applicable to Vectra, VorTech, and Radion here

Mobius is great but I would like to go back to ESL, how do I downgrade?

Downgrading is an option but is not recommended.  If you would like to switch back to EcoSmart Live, please see our downgrade best practices video here before attempting.
